I first qualified as an DVSA car instructor (ADI) in 1986 and in the following years for lorries and motorcycles. My first driving school was A.1. Motoring School Ltd in Bristol (1986-1999) and founded Somax in 2003 before selling it in 2017 and semi-retirement in 2019.
I have been teaching people to pass their car, lorry or driving instructor qualifications for over 35 years and by now have a good idea of what you need to do to achieve a pass at the first time of asking. Of course, I cannot guarantee a 100% pass rate but if you read some of my testimonials then you will get a good idea of my instructing ability.
5 Day Intensive Automatic Driving Course 1 (Advanced)
Requirements: a candidate who has taken at least 15 – 20 hours of training already
I would always recommend a practical assessment before picking one of the above courses. The advantage is, you get to drive the car, meet me and I can give you an accurate idea of what we need to do. This is a 2 hour (£100.00) assessment and at the end of this you will receive a report and then you can make a more informed decision whether you want to continue or not.’
All candidates must have passed the DVSA Multiple Choice & Hazard Perception Test and still be within 2 years of passing the test when you take your DVSA practical test.
